Award winning siblings, Maisie and Reuben Gilbert, deliver emotionally impactful songs, arrangements, recordings and performances infused with choral, Celtic, and country influences. 

Recent years their group, The Gilberts, has performed at festivals including Lunenburg Folk Harbour; Deep Roots; Full Circle; Celtic Colours; and the Halifax Urban Folk Festival as well as virtual performances for Goderich Celtic Roots Festival;  and as selected artists for the Canadian Folk Music Awards' showcase at the 2021 Philadelphia Folk Festival.

Their 2021-2022 touring show ‘Harmonious’ features original songs by The Gilberts, and songs by influential artists including: Simon and Garfunkel; Fleetwood Mac; Crosby Stills and Nash; the Bee Gees; and the Mammas & the Papas.  The Gilberts have performed at soft seat theatres including the Al Whittle; the Mermaid Theatre; Lunenburg Opera House; the Stage at St Andrews; and also the Halifax Convention Centre.

Their debut album ‘The Gilberts: One’ garnered the Young Performers of the Year award at the 2021 Canadian Folk Music Awards. The follow-up ‘Tell Me’ won the 2021 Music Nova Scotia Award for Americana/Bluegrass Recording of the Year and is nominated for a 2022 Canadian Folk Music Award in the Vocal Group of the Year category. Singles and tracks from both albums have received radio play on CBC, across the United States, and on a host of radio stations. The Gilberts are featured artists for the 2022 edition of the Story and the Song on CBC.
