BLUES & ROOTS

w/ CHARLIE A’COURT, IAN SHERWOOD, & JOCE REYOME

Join us for a night of Blues and Roots with Canada's finest Charlie A'Court, Ian Sherwood, and Joce Reyome.

Charlie A’Court stands at the crossroads of roots and soul, armed with a mighty voice, fierce guitar work, and contemporary songwriting that has captivated audiences across Canada and beyond. His new album, San Palarino (October 2025), is an Americana-driven exploration of aging, emotional well-being, and the collective human struggle. Co-written with top Canadian artists like Matt Andersen, Terra Spencer, and Colin MacDonald (The Trews), the album draws inspiration from Martin Sexton, Melissa Etheridge, Hothouse Flowers, and Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit.

A six-time ECMA winner and eight-time Nova Scotia Music Award winner, Charlie has been recognized for Blues, Pop, and R&B/Soul Recordings of the Year, along with multiple nominations for Male Vocalist and Songwriter of the Year at the Maple Blues Awards. Growing up in rural Nova Scotia, he was deeply moved by the raw soul of Otis Redding and Sam Cooke, the blistering blues guitar of B.B. King and Buddy Guy, and the genre-blending artistry of Eric Clapton.

As a sought-after songwriter, A’Court has penned powerful songs for Christine Campbell, Mike Biggar, and Quote the Raven, infusing his signature Canadian soul into every lyric. He has performed at major festivals like Stan Rogers Folk Festival, Mariposa Folk Festival, Woodford Folk Festival (AUS), and Kerrville Folk Festival (USA), sharing stages with legends like James Cotton, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, George Thorogood, Colin James, and Jimmie Vaughan.

Guitar, saxophone, huge songwriting and a voice that won him a Canadian Folk Music Award for Contemporary Singer, Ian Sherwood brings the light to every stage he stands on. A born story teller and a constant creator, his music dances the line between folk and pop. His live performances thrive on intimacy. Whether it's a theatre show or large festival stage, his persona is irresistible and completely destroys fourth walls.

When not touring the UK, Australia, the US or all across Canada, Sherwood produces for other artists as well as for theatre, film and television. He recently won a Robert Merritt award for Outstanding Original Score for the play “Tompkinsville”. He has been named Best Male Artist of the Year by the International Acoustic Music Awards and was twice named the Music Nova Scotia Musician Of The Year. Bob Mersereau of CBC Radio, Fredericton described him as “... a natural performer who entertains as much with his wit and stories as with his songs.”

Winner of the 2025 Solo/Duo Category of the International Blues Challenge, Joce Reyome, a genuine soul, brings authenticity to their performances. Their sound is infused with inspiration from the likes of Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, and Tracy Chapman. Reyome performs with such genuine authenticity, it makes you forget they’re a genuine rascal about town. While they perform, they’re not just playing music for you, they’re leading you on a journey of complex heartbreak, blended with humorous interludes, and love personified.
